When I started this project, I called it my Game of Thrones cowl, partly because I was watching Game of Thrones while I worked on it but mostly because of the storminess of its color scheme. It’s exactly the color of Ramsay Bolton’s soul. Over time, it’s become my Olympics cowl, for obvious reasons. I’m having a busy week, but I’ve been able to relax with my knitting and the folks in Rio for at least an hour or so each night.
Erksine Caldwell’s God’s Little Acre is quite a ride. Think Southern Gothic meets the Joads, plus a non-evil albino and a lot of people lusting after their in-laws. I’ll be back to tell you more soon. Underneath God’s Little Acre is In Search of Zarathustra, which I’ve been reading slowly for several weeks now.
Yarn Along is hosted by Ginny on her blog, Small Things.
The yarn for your cowl is beautiful. So is the pattern. Enjoy your knitting.
OMG! I cracked up…”the color of Ramsey’s soul!”
Just found your blog through Ginny. I love the color…I can see where you get “stormy” but it also looks so cozy to me, like cuddling up by the fire. I love the book-list idea and will definitely be browsing through. Thanks 🙂
