I almost skipped Yarn Along today. I’ve been having trouble sleeping, and when I came home exhausted last night I just didn’t feel up to taking a Yarn Along photo (which is not a difficult task, of course, but still). But then I got a surprise day off today, which can only mean that the karma police have noticed how envious I’ve been of my former friends and colleagues and neighbors for their three snow days in a row this week and decided to let me in on the relaxation. Now if only Covered California would stop “investigating” me for getting my security questions wrong and give me access to my own account, I’ll really be happy.
I’m making good progress on the green and cream sweaters – they’ll be done soon! I’m about to start Hillary Jordan’s Mudbound. I’ve heard it’s a quick and interesting read, although in my head I can’t stop calling it Mudblood. We’ll see…
Yarn Along is hosted by Ginny on her blog Small Things.
I just decided it was time for me to read this book too. Or at least buy it soon to read in purgatory.
Mudbound? Why?
I think amazon recommended it based on something else i was looking at, and i remembered seeing it back when it was first released but i didnt remember what it was about. So i read about it and it sounded good.
So far (about 40 pages in) I’m not too impressed. It’s definitely a woman book.
