I am going through one of my promiscuous phases as a reader and a knitter. I’m reading – let’s see – four books: Pearl S. Buck’s The Angry Wife (pictured and mocked here), Iris Murdoch’s Under the Net, Stephen King’s 11/22/63, and, of course, Paradise Lost, which is pictured above. I also have four different scarves and one blanket on needles, including the one that I showed you last week, which is almost done but not quite. The one in the photo above is really pretty – full of reds, oranges, dark greens, and other shades that suggest fall. The lace pattern I’m using is also coming out well. Next week I hope to be able to show you both last week’s scarf and this week’s scarf off needles and finished.
That’s it for now, but I’ll be back soon with a new review and maybe even some more thoughts on Paradise Lost.

Great yarn… lots of reading. I have trouble when i try to read too many at once.
I taught English for many years and was always reading one book per grade level, plus one or two that I was previewing for next year, plus one or two for pleasure. I don’t have trouble keeping the details straight, but I do sometimes get frustrated because it feels as if I’m never finishing anything.
I love all your notes!
Hahaha – thanks!
