P.S. If you’re not familiar with this poem, I highly recommend that you read the whole thing, substituting “bookstore” everywhere the poem says “church.” The substitution will ruin Larkin’s pitch-perfect iambic pentameter, but the shivers down your spine are practically a guarantee.
